MOVEMENT AGAINST INTIMIDATION, THREAT AND REVENGE AGAINST ACTIVISTS

MITRA is a citizens' movement formed after an attack on Sumaira Abdulali by the sand mafia in Alibag in 2004. MITRA has advocated for Activists under attack and taken up public interest litigation on their behalf in the Bombay High Court. MITRA's Founder Chairman was Mr. B.G. Deshmukh, Retired Cabinet Secretary of India.
